Cindy’s Story

Cindy’s story is nothing short of amazing. She is a 1999 Columbine shooting, survivor. She starts off her episode telling us her version of that day. She was in gym class when she heard the popping. Her and about 13 or 14 other girls ran into a utility closet to hide. The principal was with them, but ended up leaving for a few minutes. When he came back, he had no idea what key to use but by the grace of god, his first pick of a key was the correct one. Cindy then tells us about the aftermath of the shooting and trying to locate her sister and friends. She talks about all of the repercussions that came with that horrific day. Cindy has battled PTSD. She gives some insight to what that has looked like for her.

After Cindy talks about the shooting, she goes on to tell us about her infertility and how she was able to grow her family. I loved listening to Cindy speak about her trials, and how she is overcoming them. You could tell she is a very strong woman, and it was such a pleasure to be a apart of this interview. We hope you enjoy her episode.
